The Bull

Located in the High Street on the corner facing onto Anchor Hill. This was renamed around 1870s as the Trowel & Hammer.

The building has been through various alterations, addition and uses over the years, including reputedly at one time on the early 20th century a cinema. A lean to extension on the south end appeared and disappeared and doors have come and gone. The building was at one time two properties Nos. 1 & 2 High Street. It is now a single private house.

This list of names is from census returns.
They are therefore the occupants, not necessarily the licensee or owner.
