One of the three pubs that used to serve The Cross,
along with The Flag and The Beehive. There are
records of a pub at this location in 1772 but know
as The King's Arms.
The Horse and Groom is still a thriving pub, owned
by Adnams Brewery, the independant brewers from
Southwold. A darts team, Wivenhoe Funny Farm and
regular music nights keep this serving the community
at the north end of the town.
The Horse & Groom's own web site for more
information.
