Profession:
Based in Hackney, Emily was known for her unique
gingerbread
buildings and original cake designs. She founded
Maid of Gingerbread in 2010. This grew with
comissions from prestigious clients, and a guest
appearance on Kirstie's Handmade Christmas in 2016.
However the lockdowns of the Covid pandemic saw an
almost complete lack of orders and Maid of
Gingerbread folded.
Emily is now based on her boat
and a small shore-based office in Ware,
Hertfordshire working as a legal assistant but also
with an online presence at emilygarland.com
for her food art and designs.
